Free techie stuff for church and ministry

I am about to tell you more than I know about some cool new tech stuff for your church and ministry.  And, it's all free.  I am not a techie, so do not email me with dense questions.  I am passing on some innovative, usable tech tools that look good to me.  Here's the list:

  1. Tim Bednar developed a "ministry-manager" (kind of like a contact manager) called Plaid, and the beta will roll out soon.  This is geared to the "rule of 150" mentioned in The Tipping Point, and in my post several months ago here.
  2. Jim Lehmer at Lord, I Believe Help My Unbelief blog has some code to display the daily lectionary reading on your blog.  It works with Blogger, so if someone can tweak it to work with Wordpress, I'd like to know.
  3. Steve McAtee has developed free church management software at ChurchLedger.com.  It's Open Source stuff, so a collaborative effort.  Check it out and let Steve know what you think.

Okay, so there it is.  Contact these guys directly.  I never cease to be amazed at the generosity and creativity of those in the Kingdom.   You go, guys!
